By using Gambits Edge ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your account

You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your sign-in credentials secure. Don't share access or attempt to bypass quota or entitlement checks.

Subscriptions

• Pro Monthly ($3.99) and Pro Yearly ($29.99) auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. The trial converts to a paid subscription at the price above unless canceled at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
• Pro Lifetime ($79.99) is a one-time purchase.
• Scan packs are one-time, consumable purchases that add scan credits to your account. Credits do not expire but have no cash value and are non-transferable. As consumables, they are generally non-refundable once delivered, except as required by the store's policy or applicable law.
• Billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel or manage in your store account.
• Refunds are governed by the store's policy, not by us.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer the app, abuse the API, scrape content at scale, or use Gambits Edge to violate any law or harm others.

Intellectual property

The app, brand, and content are owned by Box of Otters. Stockfish is open-source software used under its license. You retain rights to anything you create with the app (e.g., your game history).

Disclaimers

Gambits Edge is provided "as is." Coaching output is best-effort and may contain errors. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service or specific rating improvement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Box of Otters is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced in-app or by email.
